She speaks, speaks words Angel born
And all forlorn fades fast tonight.
Grief retreats, retreats beyond regard
Endearing words march to the gates.

Calmness creeps, no, rushes through me
Love? Perhaps. It certainly feels so. But
Angel voices sooth many weary men
Regardless of intent, belief, or purpose.

Kindle my heart again, love.

Fickle Blood

I bleed unwanted blood.
Strangely it’s hue beneath my flesh
Flows parallel to my mood.
Precious, precious blood…

Why must you turn a crimson so vibrant
When silver emancipates you?
It naught but incites me further
Beautiful, beautiful blood…

My perspective begins to blacken.
Uncertainty encompasses my every twitch
I fear, no, that’s hatred smold’ring deep
Wicked, wicked…

Human Clay

The world is your clay.
Mold not houses, mold not walls
They will all decay

Time hardens the earth your hands protect…
But one craft e’er lasts.
Mold your spirit, mold your soul
Save thee from the past.

How do we feel safe?

When even the breeze
Tranquil, cool, simple, and pure
Steals breaths from before our lips…

Resplendent roses
Relishing the morning dew
Conceal an army of thorns…

Brittle little seeds
Now nourished with sun and rain
Will command the killing fields…

How do we feel safe?

A vigil, kept to gaze, as breath escapes from your lips
This hypnosis disturbs me
Each inhale perpetuates the DRONE
Echoing in my head, endlessly…

Caroming, careening, forming words from lips unpassed
Words that I know now are true
You may breathe freely… I SUFFOCATE
Seems my heart is not your only theft…

You sleep uneasy now, unconsciousness a cheap veil
Blurring out the lies you keep
Statues you’ve built… that I still WORSHIP
Crumble now upon my feet tonight…

Come the dawn, I’ll be gone, forgiveness is more taxing
Dissolution breathes easy
When you waken… to EMPTY SPACES
Know that you carved them yourself my love.

through twin pairs of eyes, ice blue
that glistened like diamonds against the night’s hue
her skin soft as petals, as his hand brushed her cheek
her visage grew flush, her knees, weak.

Her flowing blonde hair that with the moon’s radiance shined
Was run through by his fingers, falling in cascading lines
He draws her in so close, that heat can be felt
A convection of emotion, her heart melts

His lips twitch gently, and trigger her nerves
And a slight tilt of his head sets her whole mind ablur
He leans in, with a delicate touch of his lips he seals
A night to remember…

if it were only real.

For the Moment

I stare vulnerably from the outside:
My mind the conceiver of a Pygmalion, I blindly worship
With a conscience unable to fathom different circumstances
Than those I long to be realized.
The human mind cannot govern its own obsessions:
My torch song has become the soundtrack to my life,
a broken record,
Sing to me softly the lovelorn carol.
So that it may sooth my bereft, and lessen my loneliness.
The heart yearns for what it can never grasp:
And what it does grasp, simply slips from between my fingers
Further and further I plunge, downward toward the desolate abyss
Until the cord of osculation seizes me.
And I am content, for the moment.
